Different Types Of Merchandising

For many years, most of the clothing industry worked on three-phase year which covered four seasons as follows: 

Phase-: spring merchandise.

Phase-: summer merchandise.

Phase-: combined autumn & winter merchant.

A more recent selling pattern is to have three seasons during the year with each season divided into two seasons so as to introduce new merchandise to the public during the season.
The pattern are:

Spring-: spring merchandise.

spring-: late spring & early summer merchandise.

summer-: summer merchandise.

summer-: late summer & early winter merchandise.

winter-: autumn & early winter merchandise.

Winter-: winter merchandise.
